First off, you need to get Gborad on your iPhone. Gboard is an extremely feature-rich, free keyboard; with some useful options like Google search and swipe typing, and you’re surely gonna replace it with the Apple’s default keyboard. To set up Gboard on your iPhone, follow the steps below:
- Open iOS App Store and download Gboard
- Once downloaded successfully, head to your iPhone’s Settings app and go to General > Keyboard > Keyboards > Add New Keyboard > Gboard
- Enable “Allow Full Access”
- You can also make it your default keyboard by tapping “Edit” in the top-right corner of the screen, then dragging “Gboard” to the top of keyboards list
Create a Selfie GIF
To create a selfie GIF, you’ll have to use the GIF-maker tool as provided inside Gboard. To do so, open a messaging app of your choice and tap on the typing area. When Gboard pops up, tap the Camera Loop icon in the top-right corner of the keyboard. This will launch the GIF-maker. Now you can take a selfie with whichever camera you like; rear or front.
The GIF-maker gives two options to use while creating a perfect GIF: “Loop,” and “Fast-forward.” You can use “Loop” option by tapping and holding the white Record button at the bottom. Then, you can record with the video camera for up to three seconds. Your recording will be looped as a GIF.
With “Fast Forward” option, you can film a thirty-second GIF. Once recorded, Gboard will modify your film by removing quick movements and enhancing the slow ones and will loop your film to make it the perfect GIF.
