Apple’s iMessage is considered the most secure of all text messaging apps and so, has no equivalent. This is the reason why non-Apple users sigh for having it on their device. Fortunately, you can now experience iMessages on your Android device with the help of an app. WeMessage is a free unofficial iMessage client apk which you can use to receive and send iMessages on Android. There’s, however, one catch; you need Mac to use this work. Read on to how you can enjoy iMessages on Andorid.
Experience iMessages on Your Android Device
Follow the steps below to send and receive iMessages on your Android device:
Install JDK on Your Mac
Click the link, and when you are on the Downloads page, click “Accept License Agreement” and click on DMG file below this button. Wait until the file gets downloaded completely. Once downloaded, extract the files if they are not extracted automatically.
Give Terminal Accessibility Rights
Head to “System Preferences” > “Security & Privacy”. Then, open the “Privacy” tab and check “Terminal” under “Accessibility” section on the right side.
In case you don’t find “Terminal” there, navigate to the bottom-left corner of the screen and click on the lock icon, click on the + sign to add Terminal to the list.

Install weServer and Set up iMessage Account with weServer
Download weServer on your Mac and open the zip file to extract its elements. Then, open the “run.command” file by double-clicking on it. It will launch weServer in the terminal. Enter the same email account as your official iMessage account, however, choose a different password for your weServer.
Install weMessage on Your Android Device
Once you’ve got weServer on your Mac, install weMessage on your Android device. Go to the link to get the app from Google Play Store and tap “Install”. Once done, open the app and enter your IP address of your Mac, your iMessage email account, and weServeer password.
Note: You can choose the private IP address if you wish run iMessage using the same network. In order to know the private IP address of your Mac, head to System Preferences > Network > Advanced button and go to TCP/IP tab to see the address nest to the IPv4 Address label.
If you wish to send and receive iMessages from anywhere, you can choose public IP address. To know your Mac’s public IP address, note the address provided in the configuration page of your router’s manual, type it in the address bar of your browser and press Enter. Type your username and password for your network and go to the section namely “Router/WAN Status.” You’ll find your public IP address there.
Sign in to weMessage on Your Android Device
Once you’ve entered the details of your IP address, iMessage email account and weServer password into the required area, tap “Sign in.” Once your Android device is connected to weServer, sync your iMessage contacts with weMessage app. In order to do that, head to the “Settings” icon in the top-left corner of the weMessage app. Then, tap Sync Contacts> Start Process. Similarly, follow the on-screen instructions given by Terminal on your Mac.
