The Echo Show is Amazon’s newest voice assistant. Instead of relying entirely on a speaker to give you information, the Show uses a seven-inch touchscreen to offer you additional information. Before you set up Amazon Echo Show, you should know where to place the device. It’s recommended to choose a central location or keep your Echo Show at least 8 inches away from walls and windows. This is the most important requirement of placing your voice assistant; you can select any place like a living room, kitchen or bedroom in your home. Download the Alexa app and Sign in

Hence, you need to download the Alexa app. It’s worth notable that you can use the app on FireOS 3.0 or above, Android 5.0 or above and iOS 9.0 or above.
The app can be downloaded from the Amazon Appstore, Google Play or Apple App Store. You can also download the app directly from https://alexa.amazon.com/ using Firefox, Chrome, Safari, Microsoft Edge or Internet Explorer 10 or higher.

Turn on Amazon Echo Show
Plug the included power adapter into Echo Show and then plug it into a power source. Follow the instructions that appear on the screen to choose a language, connect to WiFi, log into your Amazon account, and review the Echo Show Terms and Conditions.

Talk to Alexa
Once you see the home screen with rotating pages, you can start using your Amazon Echo Show. To begin with, say your ‘wake word’ and then speak naturally to Alexa. By default, your Echo Show is set to respond to the wake word ‘Alexa’, but you can change it anytime.
In order to view the Settings app on the device, swipe down from the top of the screen and tap on the Settings icon. Now, tap and scroll through the various settings screens to change how the gadget works for you. For instance, you may not want the home screen cards to continuously rotate. You can customize those settings under the Settings > Home Screen > Home Card Preferences section.
Another option that may make sense to alter immediately is the theme. Under the Settings > Display > Theme section, you can choose a photo background, a light background with dark text or a dark background with light text as per your preferences.
