Both Bluetooth and WiFi will continue to be available because Apple wants your iPhone to be able to continue using AirDrop, AirPlay, Apple Pencil, Apple Watch, Location Services, and other features. For instance, if you tap on the WiFi button in Control Center, the iPhone or iPad will get disconnected from the current network. However, the WiFi is still turned on in the Settings and will continue to search for other networks.

If you want to really turn off Bluetooth and WiFi in iOS11, you’ll have to head over to the Settings menu to disable them. To do so, follow the steps listed below:

  • To turn off WiFi, go to Settings > WiFi > Turn off
