Facebook has extended its Find Free WiFi feature worldwide on both Android and iOS devices for its more than 2bn users. The company had started testing a Find WiFi option last fall only for iOS owners in some selected countries, but today the WiFi feature rolls out globally.
Find Free WiFi feature shows you nearby businesses that provide free WiFi to consumers and lists them on a map. It comes handy for those who are in the areas where cellular data is poor. Reports read,
“Wherever you are, you can easily map the closest connections when your data connection is weak.”
According to some trusted sources, FB adds WiFi finding feature for its 2bn monthly active users to help them find free WiFi hotspots wherever they go. The feature provides detailed information about businesses such as opening hours, what they do, as well as the WiFi network’s name.
Nevertheless, Facebook WiFi feature only works for companies that really state they provide a free WiFi connection on their FB page. Excited to find free WiFi hotspots on Facebook? Here’s how to do so.
