The launch date of Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8+ smartphones in India has been finally confirmed. The most-awaited duo of the year will be launched this week on April 19. This confirmation has come in the form of a tweet post from the official Twitter account of Samsung India.

Both the smartphones are already up for pre-order. However, there is no indication about the release date of both the smartphones. Some sources are speculating that both the phones will be released on April 21 – which is the global release date. The craze for Samsung’s latest phones has increased with the news of Galaxy S8 Launch in India.
Until now, Samsung has not revealed any price-related details yet.

Samsung unveiled both Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus smartphones at an event on March 27 in New York, US. Both the smartphones run on latest Android 7.0 Nougat. The duo comes with 4GB RAM with 64GB inbuilt storage and is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor.
Samsung Galaxy S8 features a 5.8-inch quad HD+ display (2960×1440) with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection and 570ppi pixel density. The smartphone has a 12MP dual pixel rear camera with f/1.7 aperture and OIS – and an 8MP front-facing autofocus camera with f/1.7 aperture. It has 3000mAh battery with fast charging technology. Several other features like Wi-Fi NFC, USB Type-C, and Bluetooth 5.0, and face recognition technology are also present.
On the other hand, Samsung Galaxy S8+ Launch will give users room for more features. The bigger sibling has a 6.2-inch Quad HD+ (2960×1440) display with 529ppi pixel density. It has a 3500mAh battery with fast charging technology. The camera specifications are similar to Samsung Galaxy 8.
The smartphones feature iris scanner and facial recognition technologies. Apart from being water and dust resistant – they support microSD cards up to 256GB as well.
Also, there is news that the upcoming phones will be powered by Samsung’s own Exynos 9-series processor in selected countries, including India.
Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus smartphones will come in 5 color variants – Midnight Black, Maple Gold, Arctic Silver, Orchid Gray, and Coral Blue. You will also get to see the company’s home-brewed Bixby digital assistant on both models. The digital assistant may pose a tough competition to Apple’s Siri and Microsoft’s Cortana.
