Want to pay for groceries bills with just a flash of your wrist? That’s no more impossible as now you can pay using Android Wear smartwatch. Google added support for its mobile payment platform, Android Pay with the launch of Android Wear 2.0. Given so, now making payments is easier than ever.
The only catch in the entire picture is that the number of Android Wear smartwatches with the feature long awaited and so popular is, well, limited. The count is so less that only the LG Watch Sport is compatible with it right now. Though, with Android Wear 2.0 rolling out widely and more manufacturers releasing NFC-equipped watches, the list is expected to significantly grow.
For the banks who have stuck to Android Pay, Google has released a complete list. Also note that Wells Fargo and Citi cards will be compatible with Android Pay on your phone, but not with Android Wear. For now, it’s an odd omission which hopefully gets worked out soon.
Although Google has indicated that Android Pay would work if paired to an iPhone, the ability is yet not available. So it’s your Android phone that you will need to do all the tasks right now.
In any way, as soon as the feature becomes accessible, you will be able to pay using Android Wear smartwatch. We don’t want you to sit quietly when everyone will be enjoying, so read our detailed guide on how to pay using Android Wear smartwatch and get ready for the upcoming experience.
