Simple steps to create app folders on iPhone

Step 1. First of all, select any two apps you want to add into the folder

Step 2. Tap and hold the first app until all apps on screen start shaking and then drag it onto the second app you had selected

Step 3. When the first app appears to merge into the second, remove your finger from the screen. This will create a folder

Step 4. In the next step, a folder and its suggested name will appear on the screen. You can rename the folder by tapping on it

Step 5. In case you want to include more apps to the folder, just tap on the wallpaper to minimize it and then drag more apps into the folder

Step 6. Click the Home button of your phone to save changes

Important Note: Creating folders on iPhone 6S and iPhone 7 is slightly different. This is because the 3D touch responds differently to different presses on screen. If you’re creating folders on any of these phones, just make sure that you’re not pressing too hard in step 2. Instead, a light tap and hold is enough.

Editing an existing folder

It’s very easy to edit an existing folder. You just need to:

  • Tap and hold the folder until it starts shaking
  • Tap the folder again. You’ll be navigated to files present in it
  • From here, drag the apps you want to remove from the folder. You can also change the folder name tapping on it
  • Once you’re done with all changes, press the Home button to save them

Deleting a folder

To delete a folder on your iPhone, just drag all the apps out of it. It will automatically disappear. Don’t forget to save the changes by pressing the Home button.
