If you are die-hard fan of notable first person shooter Destiny and are eagerly waiting for its sequel, we have great news for you! There are rumors that the much awaited sequel – Destiny 2 (or whatever it will be called) will be soon released for PC and top developers Vicarious Visions and High Moon Studios will assist with the development.
The report was spotted on the video game forum NeoGAF yesterday. It stated that someone working at Activision confirmed that an internal meeting was held, where the publisher informed employees that Destiny 2 development will start soon and game studios Vicarious Visions will be helping them. Later on, the game website Kotaku also confirmed that it had heard about the PC version and involvement from popular game studios.
For those who don’t know, Destiny is a smash-hit shooter game published by Activision and developed by Bungie. The game was released on PS 3, PS 4 and Xbox One and Xbox 360. Many users were hoping that the game will also arrive on PC. However, the PC version of the game was never released. Now this report that the game’s sequel will be arriving on PC has come as a relief to fans, who were desperately waiting for the game’s PC version
According to the report from Kotaku, Destiny 2 will be a proper sequel which means the players of the first game will be forced to leaving their inventories, characters and progression behind.
Apparently, the new game will be completely different and packed with new features. One such new feature is called play-in-destination, which according to Kotaku would provide more populated towns, outposts and missions, something which was lacking in Destiny’s Patrol missions.
Taking about the above-mentioned report, Activision Publishing boss, Eric Hirshberg said that PC was always an awesome platform for the game and the discussions for the PC versions were ongoing. However, he also noted that developing a game for PC is completely different from developing it for consoles and the company is making sure that the things are commenced in a systematic order and the game is delivered with highest possible quality.
Still, there is no official update on Destiny 2 arriving on PC. However, from the above report, one thing is pretty sure that the publisher Activision is up to something and we may see the PC version of the Destiny sequel very soon. Anyways, it will be quite interesting to see when Destiny 2 will arrive on PC.
