Google has introduced the Early Access program in May during I/O 1026 developer conference. But at that time Google only allowed 29 Android developers to participate this feature section.
Google revealed that within just a month of the introduction of Google Play Early Access Program, open beta titles have been installed more than 1mn times.
The search engine giant says that the new feature has basically benefited indies and startups that might not have the resources to gather and analyze feedback from an array of global users. Even the company has described the Google Play Early Access program as an immediate hit as well as a validation of a clear win-win value proposition.
Google says that the Feedback provided by the users doesn’t come from just friends and family, while it seems to be objective that makes the feature more handy for app and game developers.
Besides that, Google Play Early Access program is great for those who are more than interested to test beta apps and games. So if you are the one who is enjoying getting the access of latest apps and games even before their official launch then give your feedback as developers would be waiting for that in order to make their app/game bug-free.
Alphabet’s Google is also planning to add some new titles to the Early Access program on a weekly basis. Talking about the topic that how many users want to test Android app and games early, Google predicts that the number of users is in thousands.
As of now, the Google Play Early Access program seems to be a success, the company’s next test is likely to keep the momentum going. There should be a strong balance between adding more apps and games by Android developers and number of testers testing them.
