Find phone with Amazon Echo
Go to IFTTT.
Click on My Recipes, resting at the top of the page.
Now click on Create a Recipe.
Click on this, highlighted in blue.
Enter Alexa in the search box
Locate and click Alexa from the grid of products and services under search bar.
Hit Say a specific phrase.
Note: – At this step, you can select a number of other options including, Ask what’s on your To Do List and Item deleted on your To Do List.
You’ll now be asked to enter a phrase in the box labelled What phrase? Type the phrase that you wish to use for finding your smartphone.
Click on the Create Trigger button.
Note: – If you’ve entered find my phone as a What phrase? then you need to ask, “Alexa, trigger find my phone.”
Now, click on that, highlighted in blue.
Type phone call in the search box.
Locate and click Phone Call from the list of suggestions below the search bar.
Select Call my phone under the Choose an Action label.
Next is Message to say. Echo will say it for you once you answer the phone call. So, enter a phrase that you wish to hear from Echo after you attend the call.
Click on the Create Action button.
You’ll be now prompted to enter a title for the recipe.
Click on the Create Recipe button.
After completing the simple task, you’ll be able to ask Alexa locate you phone. Once asked, it will make a call on your number so that you can hear your device’s ringtone and locate it accordingly.
