Thankfully, Chrome owns a built-in feature to let you import bookmarks from Internet Explorer, Firefox, and Microsoft Edge right away. This is pretty easy and fast. Here’s how to do it:

  • Launch Google Chrome on your computer
  • Head to the three-dot menu in the top-right corner of the page

  • Click the Import Bookmarks and Settings option from the list and it will take you to the Settings page, bringing up a menu

Export Your Favorites from Mozilla Firefox

First, you need to make the backup of your bookmarks and then manually export it to Chrome. Do it this way:

  • Open Mozilla Firefox on your computer
  • Navigate to the top-right corner and click Bookmarks icon

  • Open Internet Explorer
  • Head to the Star icon in the top-right corner to access Favorites

Export Your Favorites from Microsoft Edge

To manually save your Edge bookmarks and settings on your computer, follow the instructions below:

  • Open Microsoft Edge
  • Click the three-dot button in the top-right corner of the page
  • Head to Settings > Import Settings and Other Info > Export to File
  • Choose the location where you wish to save your file and hit Save

Import Saved Favorites to Google Chrome

Importing saved HTML favorites file to Chrome is similar to how you transfer bookmarks to the browser:

  • In the Chrome browser, click on the three-dot menu in the upper-right corner
  • Take your mouse arrow to Bookmarks to bring up a list and select Import Bookmarks and Settings
  • Now, in the drop-down menu, select Bookmarks HTML File
  • Choose the file you just backed up from your previous browser and click Import
