Microsoft is hosting the ID@Xbox Game fest, a month-long promotional event for the Xbox One, starting May 3. The idea behind the event is to spotlight a range of smaller indie games available on the Xbox One and Windows 10.
The promotional event will offer discounts on independently developed games on Microsoft’s flagship console platform. Ranging from Rocket League to Roblox, the company will include a wide range of games in the promotion.
ID@Xbox head Chris Charla said in a blog post,
“It’s amazing to be able to celebrate some of the successes developers have had with the ID@Xbox Game Fest, and I’m also really excited to be able to resurface some really great games that I hope people will take the time to check out, such as Lovers in a Dangerous Spacetime and Lifeless Planet.”
Microsoft says along with the additional creator spotlight content, the promotion will offer special discounts on indie games. The company has promised to highlight a new batch of some very special games during each week of May.
From May 3-9, the ID@XBOX game fest will promote less-famous titles, including Beyond Eyes, The Park and Lovers in a Dangerous Spacetime. May 10-16 has been booked to spotlight free-to-play games like Warframe, ROBLOX and Smite, while May 17-23 will feature the Xbox Preview Program that includes The Solus Project and The Long Dark.
The final week of the event is destined to allure most of you with discounts as it’ll play host to the Best of ID@Xbox. It means gaming lovers can get their hands on games like Rogue Legacy, Rocket League, The Banner Saga and The Escapists at discounted rates, only between May 24 and May 30.
Microsoft further adding to the announcement said,
“Finally, we’ve got some great deals on some of the best ID@Xbox games and bundles.”
The complete list of games will be revealed at the launch of the event. So stay tuned!
